In this guide, you’ll learn how to enable and set up Age Verification for your Reactiv Clips. This feature helps you comply with local regulations and app store policies by confirming a shopper’s age before they view your clips.

Before you begin, make sure your store meets the necessary prerequisites.

Prerequisites

To use Age Verification for Reactiv Clips, you must:

  • Be actively using Reactiv Clips.

  • Have Reactiv Clips enabled in your mobile app settings.

Once these requirements are in place, you're ready to turn on Age Verification.

Enable Age Verification

Follow the steps below to turn on Age Verification and customize the verification screen.

Step 1: Open Your Reactiv Mobile Channel

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels.

  2. Select the Reactiv Mobile sales channel.

Step 2: Open the App Studio

  1. Click the Reactiv logo inside the App Studio to access your mobile app settings.

Step 3: Navigate to Reactiv Clips

  1. In settings, select the Reactiv Clips tab.

Step 4: Enable Age Verification

  1. Scroll down to the Age Verification section.

  2. Turn on the Age Verification toggle.

Once enabled, you’ll see several options you can customize.

Customize Your Age Verification Screen

Each setting allows you to tailor the verification experience to your brand and compliance needs.

  • Show Brand Logo
    Enable this option to display your store’s logo, as uploaded in Brand Settings, on the age verification screen.

  • Title
    Customize the main message on the screen. For example, you can use a prompt like “Can I see some ID?” to keep things on-brand and clear.

  • Legal Text
    Add up to 250 characters of legal wording required by your local jurisdiction. You can use the built-in rich text editor to format the text to match your brand style.

  • Background Media
    Upload an image or enter a URL to set the background displayed behind the age verification prompt.

  • Minimum Age Requirement
    Set the minimum age a shopper must meet to proceed. For example, enter 21 if your region requires it.

  • CTA Text
    Customize the call-to-action button shoppers tap to continue. A common choice is “Enter”.

  • Footer Text
    Include any additional text your local laws or policies require. This field is flexible for disclaimers or clarifying statements.

After customizing these settings, your Age Verification screen will automatically appear before shoppers can interact with your Reactiv Clips.
